Missing Scene
Missing Scene has been playing the Tokyo circuit since 2004. Originally billed as a folk-pop duo, their songwriting eventually spanned the blues, rock, and country genres.
Singer-songwriters Geoff Hash of the US and Dave Zikovitz of Canada teamed up while living in the Shimokitazawa district of Tokyo, playing all kinds of venues and festivals in the Kanto area while building up a large repertoire of original music and a loyal fan base.
Over the years, Missing Scene's lineup has changed, but the songs are as strong as ever, lyrically on-point and melodically captivating. After a brief break from the touring scene, Hash returned in 2016 on guitar, vocals, and harmonica, with Yosuke Tezuka of Japan by his side on guitar, mandolin, and vocal harmonies. From 2023 to 2025, he lived and performed solo regularly in Burlington, Vermont, only to return to Tokyo in late 2025. With some new songs and perspectives, he will again take to the stage in Japan in summer of 2026. Be sure to check the schedule page for updates!
