August 25, 2009 Missing Scene Scores Big Goal
Last month, Missing Scene wrote, recorded, and sold some new music to Konami Corporation for its ultra-popular sports video game called Pro-Evoltion Soccer: Winning 11. The 2010 version, available at the end of this year, will feature a song called Always And Always, a driving Brit-rock number featuring Joel's handy guitar work and lots of thick vocal harmonies. It's a bit different than most of the other Missing Scene recordings, so give it a listen and let us know what you think. To check it out, head on over to the blog or click here!
August 15, 2008 Hitch-hiking/Live Tour starting August 18th
Starting this Monday, Missing Scene’s music will make it’s way from Tokyo to Hokkaido by car. Whose car? Well, we don’t know yet…but look for us in Chiba on Monday, then Geoff will hitch north to play solo gigs in Ibaraki, Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate, and Hokkaido. Drop on by if you are in any of these areas for the holiday, and be sure to check the schedule as shows are being added all the time by friends and supporters of the band. And of course, if you see any of us on the highway, thumbs in the air, please stop!
See you up north!
June 26, 2008 New music on the way
After the release of 2007's "Derelicts and Broken Dreams", Geoff Hash and the Missing Scene got back to work on several songs that had remained unfinished at the time of their first album's publication. They also began writing a wealth of new material for their upcoming album.
While "Derelicts" was considered by many to be a rather dark look into coming of age in both rural and urban America, as well as adjusting to life in a place without personal history, the new record (as of yet unnamed) captures more of the inspiring and positive side of the coin. One thing that is constant on both albums: Missing Scene is focused on breaking down the walls of genre and assembly-line pop to create a new kind of experience, one that is tangible, intelligent, and unique.
